Lawrence Welk is a music and entertainment legend, and you can read all about him on your own time. Even though this live album ("Lawrence Welk Live at Lake Tahoe") plays like somewhat of a variety show, I don't think anyone will complain that I boiled it down to one track - a really stellar Star Wars medley performed by a great live orchestra.
The band is announced at the end as George Cates and the Champagne Music Makers (George Cates was Lawrence Welk's music director for many years), but is credited on the album simply as "Orchestra." The song is an awesome medley of all the Star Wars music, including my personal favorite, the "Cantina" band's song. So, I hope you enjoy, especially you nerds out there that have never heard this version!
